We typically first conduct awareness sessions with top management, leaders of the strategy process and key members involved in the strategy process. This will then be followed by an audit of your needs.

A well prepared and detailed project plan tailored to your organizations context and needs is constructed to take the client through the key stages of BSC implementation. This includes:

  • The clarification or formulation of the strategy itself
  • The translation of the strategy into a strategy map
  • The drafting of a balanced scorecard of the strategic objectives with their key performance indicators (measures)
  • Creation of a prioritized set of strategy aligned initiatives (projects or programmes) to operationalize the strategy
  • Establishing the governance processes to ensure effective reporting and ongoing management and execution
  • Communications plan to ensure broad and consistent awareness of the organizations strategy how it relates to the staff

A key deliverable near the end of the project will be the conducting of the organizations “First Report” the very first review of the strategy as part of the newly structured governance processes.

Additional options:

  • Depending on the detailed needs the project may also include a broader objective to establish a long term strategy management function such as an “Office of Strategy Management” whose role it would be to manage and facilitate all ongoing aspects of strategy management for the organization.
  • In order to accelerate and improve outcomes, for any project of 12 month duration, Stratagility provides clients with a special option to utilize powerful strategy management software. The software supports design, documentation, reporting and review of strategy and is provided as an online hosted service. There is no charge for the use of the software for the duration of the project and following completion of the project the client can either continue with the service for a fee or can migrate their strategy data off the system.
